Location:

On the abdomen, 3 cun lateral to the midline, level with Zongji Ren-3.


Needling:

Perpendicular insertion 0.8 - 1.2 cun, or for prolapse of the uterus direct the needle through the muscular layer to Qugu Ren-2, then rotate the needle until it wraps around the muscle fibres and firmly pull it upwards and outwards and tape it to the skin in this raised position for 20-30 minutes.


TCM Actions:

Raises and regulates Qi
Regulates menstruation and alleviates pain

Superficial Innervation: Femoral branches of genitofemoral nerve from L1
