Packages
If you are seeking a course of treatment, I offer some package deals to help with the overall cost:
- "Quick Fix": 2 combined standard treatment sessions in 1 week: £100 (equivalent to £50 per session - great for an intensive burst)
- "Maintenance": 6 combined standard treatment sessions over 3 months/12 weeks: £350 (saving £70 - great for fortnightly sessions, or to start weekly and taper off gradually)
Packages are paid for in advance and all sessions must be taken within the allotted time. Sessions that fall outside the time frame are non-refundable.
Herbs
- £50 initial calculation of formula, or free if taken as part of an acupuncture session.
- £40 per week of herbs (2 sachets powder per day; equivalent to 90g raw herbs per day) + £5 postage.
- This is equivalent to £5.75 per day or £2.88 per cup; far less than the price of a coffee from most major chains, and contains herbs grown, harvested and processed following traditional methods to ensure their potency, shipped half-way around the world and formulated to meet your individual needs.
- Includes remote follow ups by text or email and minor modifications. Full reviews and major revisions are charged at £35 for a half hour, but can also be included as part of a full acupuncture session.
- Discounts may be applied for long term prescriptions: 2 weeks = £75; 1 month = £145, both with £5 carriage.
- Large formulas and higher dosages, if needed, may require additional charges to meet with costs. Usually this will involve taking three times per day at a 50% increase in cost.
- Rare or expensive herbs, especially at high dosages, may also require an additional charge. I will inform you of any additional costs prior to ordering.
- Most formulas will be calculated after the consultation and prepared later. A message is sent when ready.
Cancellation
- Cancellations or changes to appointment times must be made 48 hours in advance or incur loss of deposit.
- If the appointment can be re-booked and paid in advance, £20 of this cancellation fee can be redeemed against the cost of the new session
- Cancellations made within this time will be waived on production of a doctors certificate or a positive lateral flow or PCR test result
- Not turning up may incur the full price of the session
Insurance
I would advise anyone with health insurance to check if their policy covers acupuncture. Currently the following insurers offer cover for acupuncture from practitioners belonging to my professional body:
BAcC List of Private Health Insurers
In addition people with chronic arthritis should investigate
Arthritis Action for the possibility of subsidised treatments.
Since claiming through insurance involves a considerable amount of administration, delays and fees taken by intermediary agents, a fee of £15 is levied for administration.
Methods of Payment
Payment is preferred upfront with via online transfer but I can also accept:
