Traditional Actions/Indications:

  1. Strengthens the Spleen, eliminates Dampness and transforms Phlegm
    Dyspepsia, colic and flatulence
    Cough or wheezing with copious white phlegm
    Exhaustion from overwork, chronic illness or weak constitution
    Lethargy and poor concentration due to excessive worry

Cautions: Mild estrogenic so avoid in Yin deficiency, estrogen dependent cancers and pregnancy. Caution internally in those with renal disorders, oedema or bleeding disorders, including anticoagulant medication. Avoid in people with sensitivity to aniseed, caraway, celery, coriander, dill, fennel and anethole.
