    Lung Heat coughs and wheezing

Suggested Daily Dosage: 6-12g in decoction.

This herb is mentioned in the Mawangdui manuscript Eliminating Grain and Eating Qi as a replacement for grains when initially embarking on a Bigu fast (Harper, 1998: Early Chinese Medical Literature, p.305-9).
