Pattern: Constraint and clumping of Liver Qi

Key Symptoms: Constipation, belching, abdominal distention and pain

Pulse: Wiry


Ingredients

Bing Lang 9g
Chen Xiang 3-6g
Wu Yao 6-9g
Mu Xiang 9g
Zhi Ke 6-9g
Da Huang 6g

Subsitutions:
In UK Bing Lang must be replaced with Zhi Shi and Yu Li Ren.


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Promotes movement of Qi, directs rebellious Qi downwards, expands the chest, dissipates clumping

Contraindications: Long term, significant deficiency of normal Qi
