Ingredients

Bai Shao 75g
Huang Qi 30g
Shu Di Huang 30g
Chuan Xiong 30g
Dang Gui 30g
Zhi Gan Cao 22.5g
Rou Gui 22.5g


Preparation: Coarsely ground and taken in doses of 15g each time, with 3 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes to 1.5 cups of water and decoct until 1 cup remains. Remove the dregs and drink warm.


Actions: Nourishes Blood and replenishes Qi.



Notes:
This formula merges Gui Zhi Jia Shao Yao Tang with Si Wu Tang plus Huang Qi and so is useful in the prevention of abandonment due to deficiency.Si Wu Tang nourishes the Blood and Gui Zhi Jia Shao Yao Tang helps to harmonise the Ying and Wei, expelling pathogens but with a particular emphasis on securing a deficienct Exterior with the large dose of Bai Shao. The addition of Huang Qi aids this function while also powerfully tonifying the Qi aspect.
