Appointments are designed to be flexible. Most people choose a standard appointment, while those with more complex health concerns or who would like additional treatment time may benefit from a longer session.
Treatment is personalised and may include one or more approaches, such as acupuncture, Tui Na, moxibustion, cupping, exercise therapy, lifestyle guidance or herbal medicine planning,, depending on your individual needs.
A standard appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes and costs £70.
This includes consultation, assessment and personalised treatment. For many conditions this provides sufficient time to review your progress, adjust your treatment plan and carry out the most appropriate therapy or combination of therapies.
Some people benefit from additional time, particularly during an initial consultation, when managing more complex or long-standing conditions, or when a more in-depth discussion of lifestyle, exercise or treatment planning is appropriate, or they wish to combine acupuncture with another modality such as massage or cupping.
Appointments can therefore be extended in 30-minute blocks.

Chinese herbal medicine is prescribed individually following a consultation. Every prescription is tailored to your current pattern of health and requires careful assessment, selection of herbs and formulation of an appropriate prescription.
If herbal medicine is your primary treatment, this work is included within the standard consultation fee. If herbs are prescribed alongside acupuncture or another treatment during the same appointment, the additional time required to calculate and prepare the prescription is charged at the equivalent of an extra 30-minute treatment session.
The herbs themselves are charged separately:
An 8-day prescription works out at approximately £5 per day, or £2.50 per dose—less than many takeaway coffees.
The price includes professionally sourced herbs that meet the stringent Herbmark quality assurance standard.
Minor adjustments to your prescription can usually be made following brief follow-up discussions by email or message. More substantial changes, or prescriptions following a significant change in your condition, require a further consultation and prescription review.
Occasionally, unusually large prescriptions or formulas containing particularly rare or expensive herbs may incur an additional charge. Any additional costs will always be discussed with you before your prescription is prepared.
Reduced fees are available for people who are currently unemployed and receiving benefits. These rates are approximately 60% of the standard fee:
