Welcome

I am an acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine operating in north west London and Buckinghamshire, an anthropologist and a scientific researcher. My practice reflects all these influences, combining classical theories and methods with modern developments in understanding.

I have full accreditation and membership with the British Acupuncture Council and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Besides running my own practice for over 10 years, I have worked for the University of Westminster as a herbal dispensary technician where I supervised both Western and Chinese herbal students and served as a tutor for undergraduate medical sciences students in human physiology. Currently I am the module leader for masters level research projects in advanced nutrition, oriental and complementary medicine at the Northern College of Acupuncture and sit on their Research Ethics and Advisory Committee. I am also in the writing up stage of my PhD on how the effects of traditional medicines on mitochondrial function could be used to assess quality of herbs and detect subtle forms of adulteration.

This site is primarily for clients to learn more about me before booking, but also contains a professional area where therapists can reference my notes.
