Qi Bao Mei Ran Dan

Seven Treasure Elixir Pill for a Beautiful Beard

Pattern: Liver and Kidney Blood and Yin deficiency

Key Symptoms: Premature greying of hair or hair loss, loose teeth, spontaneous and nocturnal emissions, soreness and weakness of the lower back and knees


Ingredients

He Shou Wu 1000g (steamed with Hei Zhi Ma)
Fu Ling 500g
Chi Fu Ling 500g
Niu Xi 240g
Dang Gui 240g (wine washed)
Gou Qi Zi 240g
Tu Si Zi 240g
Bu Gu Zhi 120g (dry fried with Hei Zhi Ma)


Preparation: Ground into a powder and formed into 9g pills with honey. The normal dosage is one pill in the morning and one in the evening taken with warm, salted water. Iron pots are specifically forbidden in its preparation.


Actions: Enriches the Kidney Yin, Nourishes Liver Blood

Contraindications: Spleen deficiency due to its potentially cloying nature.
