Pattern: Dryness of the Intestines due to Liver constraint and Blood deficiency

Key Symptoms: Constipation accompanied by lower abdominal distention, lack of appetite, fatigue and muscle twitching



Ingredients
Rou Cong Rong 9g
Dang Gui 9g
Huo Ma Ren 9g
Bai Shao 9g
Chai Hu 3g
Zhi Ke 2.4g
Mei Hua 3g
Ju He 12g
Mu Gua 3g
Ju Ye 4.5g
Bai Zi Ren 9g
Zi Wan 9g

Subsitutions:
This formula uses several ingredients that are not illegal in the UK but may not be readily available from suppliers such as Mei Hua, Mume (Wu Mei) flower, Ju He, tangerine seed and Ju Ye, tangerine leaf. Tangerine seeds and maybe leaves could be found at a grocer with the fruits and extracted manually but Mei Hua may not be available at all.



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Nourishes the Blood, softens the Liver, moistens Dryness, unblocks the passage of the stools.
