Pattern: Bulging-Shan disorder due to Damp-Cold invading the Liver channel

Key Symptoms: Unilateral testicular swelling with colicky pain reaching to the umbilicus, or rock-like hardness and swelling of the scrotum, or oozing of yellow fluid from the scrotum
Secondary Symptoms: Abscess and ulceration of the scrotum

Ju He 30g
Chuan Lian Zi 30g (dry fried)
Mu Xiang 15g
Tao Ren 30g (dry fried)
Yan Hu Suo 30g (dry fried)
Rou Gui 15g
Mu Tong 15g
Hou Po 15g (ginger fried)
Zhi Shi 15g (dry fried)
Hai Zao 30g
Kun Bu 30g
Hai Dai 30g

Preparation: Ground into a fine powder and formed into pills with wine. 6-9g are taken 1-2x daily on an empty stomach with salt, wine or broth. May also be prepared as a decoction with appropriate reduction in dosage.

Actions: Promotes movement of Qi, alleviates pain, soften hardness, dissipates clumps

Contraindications: Soft swelling. If ulcerated appropriate topical applications must be used too.
