Pattern: External Wind pathogen and Blood deficiency

Key Symptoms: Itching that worsens at night
Secondary Symptoms: Rash, flaking skin

Tongue: Pale with thin coat
Pulse: Thin and wiry

Dang Gui 10-15g
Bai Shao 10-15g
Chuan Xiong 10-15g
Ci Ji Li 10-15g (dry fried)
Fang Feng 10-15g
Sheng Di Huang 10-15g
He Shou Wu 5-7.5g
Jing Jie 10-15g
Huang Qi 5-7.5g
Zhi Gan Cao 5-7.5g
Sheng Jiang 5sl

Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Nourishes the Blood, moistens dryness, dispels Wind, alleviates itching

Can be a lodged pathogen which has damaged the Blood, or a recent invasion against a constitutional back ground of Blood deficiency.

Often has Heart nourishing and Spirit calming herbs such as He Huan Pi, Ye Jiao Teng and Suan Zao Ren added.
